New York Post
L.A. Reid’s wife Erica saved her friend June Haynes, VP of retail at Valentino, after her bouffant hairdo caught fire at a party at Co-Op in the Hotel on Rivington on Monday night. Guests who were amazed to see Haynes’ hair ignite after she unwittingly leaned into a candle. “She rushed out of the party,” a spy said. “It was a real fire.” The pair attended a dinner party for photographer EJ Camp, whose shots of Debbie Harry, Moby and other New York night-life legends adorn the restaurant’s walls. Designers Patricia Field and Douglas Hannant, Chris Benz, Linda Fargo, Lorenzo Martone and Yaz Hernandez were among those breathing sighs of relief after the hair scare was extinguished.

Saw it & shot it! Photographed Debbie in a large Philip Model hat she has owned for years, looking more beautiful than ever. She has evolved into a classic beauty in the same vain as Catherine Deneuve.
The restaurant features 36 portraits shot by EJ on film provided by Impossible Project, which is a new product developed from the old Polaroid SX-70. EJ scanned the photos and made 40 inch prints from them, which cover two entire walls of the restaurant.
